The Mustard Report was excited to be invited to cover the 2023 Willowdale Lunar New Years Celebration hosted by Neighbourlink Willowdale at North York’s Mel Lastman’s Square. The community turn out was fantastic for this celebration, many residents enjoyed ice skating, hot chocolate, watching the many performances of traditional dance and Asian drumming, along with performances from local K-Pop stars live on stage. All this fun culminated with a traditional Dragon Dance and dotting of the eyes. “Kung Hei Fat Choi” Willowdale!
This celebration was hosted (in association with Toronto Ward 18 Counlillor Lily Cheng) by Neighbourlink Willowdale, a local charity group that tirelessly works in the neighbourhood helping feed residents in need and organizing many charity fundraisers for the betterment of the Community.
