Indoor Arenacross in Canada!
2026 hit hard when AMA crossed the border to bring the indoor AMA Arenacross Championship circuit to Canada!

AMA Built a regulation, but compact, motocross track inside Hall number 5 at the International Centre. The track was so tight that they didn’t use flaggers, caution alerts were done by the use of LED light panels strategically placed around the track.

Once the track was readied, the Pro’s came out for a test run and to give media (and a smattering of scattered, early-bird fans) a glimpse of things to come…

Once everything was in place and ready, we got to see the event schedule. It was Day 1, a day of Qualifying for every skill level. There were future stars out there that were as young as 4 years old giving it their all!

The KIDS are alright!!…

The AMA organization is doing a great thing by giving the kids “the full” experience. Usually with the kids, they’re given a portion f track to race on, the AMA gave the kids the full track for their heats and they were not holding back – has to have been a dream come true at that age.

The action continues…
As the day continued, the ages of riders would go up, and the action would get more intense, the bikes get bigger and the rider skill level increased. Nobody riding this event took it lightly, everyone was going for it and the growing crowds were lovin’ it too.

As the speeds increase so does the competition. These guys were racing for all the marbles and crashing is just part of the game – the MX crowds roared for crashes like Hockey crowds roar for fights, everyone was was into it!

It was time, time for the big guys…

Once both the “Canadian” and “U.S.” national anthems finished, the Arena lights went dark and the big screen at the starting gate lit up, showing highlight reels of the Pros as they were introduced one-by-one. Once the PA introductions finished, the riders took off for a half lap to the top of the start/finish jump [centre track] for a quick interview…
…and it’s ON!!
Sounding like a hornets nest, the riders head into turn one for the hole shot to establish race order…

The Pro level guys took the action to new level and the crowds were going nuts with every corner battle and mile high whips…

and the Winners are…
EVERYONE! This Day 1 was a one fun one in Hall number 5 at the International Centre in Mississauga. In the end however, the BIG winners were the riders that fought bar-to-bar and tire-to-tire around a super challenging track to give the fans the unique thrill of indoor motocross!
Day 1 Standings:
1st: #200 Ryan Breece HONDA
2nd: #98 Austin Politelli HONDA
